1! 2! step, move out!! Oink Oink Kicks off with a lifted chest and a proud march march march, a parade of headshaking purple glitter and light blue kisses, the feeling that something is about to happen, OATMEAL approaches!
The vers is Beautiful and melodic and always makes me tense up ma shoulders, waving my wand of Love, friendship and passion. Summer has begun!
It wasnt until after i wrote it, that everyone said it reminded them a lot of the Beatles, i have to admit after hearing it so many times, that i agree, especially the vocals in the chorus is just sooo Lennon!
So Shout out to Jannis himself and shout out to his awesome backing vocals, laying them down just really moved the song to another level.
In general i always say that having solid good and strong backing vocals really "separates the sheep from the bucks", as you would say in danish. OINK OINK is yet another proof.
Here in the end i just also would really really like to credit the drums a bit. John Cleworth did a remarkable job playing that shuffle! edge tight and point every time!
